Seventh Spring and Zine Swap

Join us on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 12-6 pm to celebrate Compound YV's 7th anniversary and our official nonprofit status! The afternoon will feature pop-ups in the backyard by Liz Lapp of Hi Desert Times Magazines, Alexandra Martinez of Galaxy Pies and sculptor Dorene Quinn, as well as a Zine Swap.

MUSIC / Ongoing DJ Sets, curated by Other Desert Radio, will include Peacetime Product, DJ Play Date, Loti Dottie, & Genevieve D. At 4 pm, Derek Monypeny will play desert-based string instruments in an experimental performance. To end the evening, Michael Bailey and spiral energy conduits will perform homemade steel-string resonators and electronic signal generators to explore the possibilities of electromagnetism. 

VISUAL ART / Throughout the event, exhibiting artist Brock DeBoer will be sitting the gallery, so folks can speak with him about his show So Far.
