Mojave Artists of Color Collective
The Mojave Artists of Color Collective (MACC) is an emerging group of BIPOC artists and creatives living and working in the Morongo Basin area. They provide peer-to-peer support, networking opportunities, studio visits, critique circles, collaboration, and collective exhibitions and events. The collective practices advocacy for BIPOC and other marginalized groups to gain greater access to arts funding, production, and exhibition. As it expands its network at a slow and organic pace, the growing and fluctuating group of artists makes space for the simplicity of togetherness, connection, support, and building new relationships between artists of color through biweekly meetings and monthly brunches.
